"Dixon Orchard"

This was a special day - all of us painters were invited to paint at this property in Dixon, just south of Taos along the river.  There weren't many blossoms since the night before there was a frost but I managed to find one tree that had a few.

Sometimes as things get older they get more beautiful - I was inspired by the colors in the rusty metal roof, the patch work on the side of the barn and the broken down fence.

"Spring's Arrival"

My Thursday painting group will be exhibiting artwork at the Trading Post Cafe from March 4th thru May 4th.  There are 16 painters participating so each artist is limited to four pieces.  It was hard to decide which four to choose so my friends did it for me!  Here they are in their frames.
