"Winter Compliments" SOLD

The winter season here in New Mexico can be so colorful it almost seems fake.  Sure we get a few gray "blah" days but when the sun comes out and illuminates the snow, the willows and the junipers..it's a painter's dream!

14" x 18"  original oil painting  $350.00

"Las Tusas Sunset" (study) SOLD

The sunsets here in Taos are pretty spectacular...but I have to say they're extremely hard to paint because they change every single second - and then they're gone.  So this was my attempt to "catch" one before it slipped away.

7" x 9" original oil painting  $100.00

"Roxy's Beach"

Here is what is on my easel at the moment (top)..an example of working from an earlier "study"(bottom)
Roxy was my dog who sadly is no longer with me but this was her favorite place to swim (and mine) down in Pilar south of Taos.

9" x 12" (study on paper)  $150,00
11" x 14"  original oil painting  $250.00  (when finished) *will post again when done

"Garden Gate"

This gate is part of an old hacienda compound south of Ranchos in Llano Quemado.  The place is terribly run down and the gardens WAY neglected, but this little gate still shines bright!

9" x 12"  original oil painting  $160.00

"Courtyard with Lilacs"

I guess because it's winter time and the weather can be a little unpleasant for painting outdoors I sometimes work from photographs or finish a piece that I started in the past.  Such is the case with this one.  This is a scene from behind the Blumenschein Museum's East Studio.

11" x 14"  original oil painting  $250.00
